三義外環道正反派　均籲冷靜採平和訴求

三義青年團、捍衛苗栗青年聯盟等團體下午發起到環保署「路過」的「三義愛石虎，不愛外環道！」活動，另一方支持外環道闢建的苗栗三義鄉親也將北上表達立場。三義青年代表林珊琪說，「不希望一條道路開發撕裂三義人的情感」，環保人士潘翰聲也呼籲，兩邊應極力避免衝突，創造公共溝通平台。
 
三義鄉長徐文達說，今天下午會由他和銅鑼鄉長謝其全親自帶隊北上，預計會有500名鄉親參與，他們會採取平和方式表達訴求，只是想讓環評委員知道，在地鄉親對於此外環道闢建的殷切期盼，表達完訴求後就會離開。
 
潘翰聲說，石虎是珍貴資產，可以創造相當大的文創利益，例如棲息在日本琉球八重山群島中西表島上的西表山貓，是日本的特有種，現在開發很多西表山貓面具等文創商品。20年前台南七股工業區的開發爭議，也因為堅持保有黑面琵鷺的棲地，現在有人還會質疑要建設開發、不要黑面琵鷺嗎？（洪敏隆／台北報導）
