紅色戰神接近 9日火星衝

有「紅色戰神」稱號的火星，4月9日達到衝的位置，是自2012年3月以來最適合觀察火星的時刻。但火星觀察並不限於4月9日當天，至5月底之前都適合。

台北市立天文科學教育館表示，每相隔約2年又49天，火星與太陽會位在地球兩側、經度位置相差180度的地方，稱為「火星衝」，即自己所站的位置正對太陽、火星就在你的正後方，即地球、太陽、火星約在同一條線上。

「衝」時的火星由於距地球較近，看起來明亮，即使在光害嚴重的都市都可看到紅色光，且此時視直徑較大，可用望遠鏡看清火星地表。因其紅色外觀熒熒如火、亮度變化大，古稱「熒惑」。

火星在4月9日05:03到達衝的位置，約9277萬公里，並在4月14日最接近地球，屆時火星與地球的距離僅約9200萬公里，晚間7-8時後，朝天空東方偏南，即可看到令人著迷的火紅亮星。

在火星過衝之前，火星以每秒5公里或每分鐘300公里速度接近地球，換言之，每60秒火星與地球的距離就接近300公里。

天文館指出，9日火星衝是看清火星樣貌最佳機會，天文館4月份每周六晚上19:00~21:00開放頂樓大型天文望遠鏡，透過望遠鏡可見火星極冠及暗斑等特徵。
