政府預計明年釋出2600MHz頻譜開放競標，台灣之星總經理賴弦五說，台灣之星目前頻譜不足，公司會積極去投標，目前已組織團隊研究，對明年4G競標「勢在必行」。

由於台灣之星取得頻段與亞太電信重複，台灣之星4G開台初期，可能僅有5MHz可用狀況。

此外，賴弦五說，台灣之星確實有與許多WiMAX業者接觸，但政府對WiMAX業者態度與立場不明，會等待政府有明確決定後，再做打算，但台灣之星立場是希望WiMAX頻譜清空，並規劃FDD LTE與TDD LTE雙軌發展，並以FDD為主，這對台灣電信產業來說是最好情況。(中央社)
