台灣之星：飆4G年底涵蓋全台95%人口

可望在7月底開台的4G新進業者台灣之星，目前已在全台灣36大重點風景區布建4G信號，包括北部的平溪、九份；中部的南投日月潭、埔里酒廠、彰化文化園區；南部有嘉義阿里山、台南安平老街、墾丁，加上澎湖等；東部也已在花蓮七星潭、台東伯朗大道等重點風景區布建完成。
 
台灣之星總經理賴弦五在今天發表的聲明中指出，台灣之星正全力擴大4G網路覆蓋率，基地台從北到南建置並深入城鄉，預計年底4G將涵蓋全台95%人口。
 
此外，台灣之星運用900MHz 4G LTE頻段，具有穿透性強、繞射能力佳的特性，訊號不易受到建築物阻隔，室內涵蓋不易出現收訊死角，搭配原有威寶已完成全網升級的3G HSPA+系統，預計年底3G基地台規模將再增加30%，未來台灣之星用戶，無論在都會區或風景區，室內或室外，語音或上網，都能有高品質的行動通訊服務。（劉煥彥／台北報導）
