屏東牡丹野薑花季 26、27日熱鬧登場

在屏199縣道牡丹鄉東源村段兩側，廣達50公頃的野薑花最近正綻放，鄉公所為讓外地遊客體驗野薑花香滿盈的幸福滋味，26、27日在東源森林遊樂區舉辦野薑花季系列活動。鄉長陳英銘說，快速離台的麥德姆颱風未帶來災情，豐沛的雨量反而滋潤野薑花田，空氣中的野薑花香更加濃郁。

陳英銘說，屏119縣道東源村段的野薑花在夏天盛開，被單車騎士評為最佳「朝聖路線」之一；多溼地的東源村已登錄為台灣國家重要濕地，村內的東源森林遊樂區，擁有美麗的東源湖（哭泣湖）、蓊鬱高大的桃花心木森林，和長滿野薑花及水社柳的溼地生態區；野薑花季系列活動有原住民樂舞文化、部落民俗競技、休閒旅遊和農工藝產品展售外。
