7月台鐵大改點　北東3.5小時

花東鐵路電氣6月底通車，台鐵表示，配合花東鐵路電氣化通車，7月將台鐵將大改點，預估全台將有500至600班次將調整行車時刻，其中普悠瑪號和太魯閣號將首度飆進台東，台鐵將用普悠瑪號和太魯閣號開出「超級直達車」，台北到台東行車時間將從4小時30分縮短為3小時30分，到台東將可快1小時，台北到台東間僅停靠3站，包括松山、花蓮、玉里，平日至少每天有2至3班超級直達車，假日將有4至5班，整體自強號運能將增加18至40％。
 
花東鐵路電氣化工程施工耗時4年，全長166.1公里，花費254億元，但新自強隧道6月底來不及通車，預計明才能通，鐵工局則表示，新自強隧道採臨時電化因應，雖然還沒完工，但台北到台東仍可達成3小時30分的目標，預計5月中辦理履勘，6月底通車。（李姿慧／台北報導）
