竊電貪小便宜　被罰8萬元作公益

不要為了省電費，因小失大！基隆市64歲余姓男子，去年初，認識1名姓名不詳男子，聲稱可變更電表內部結構，省下很多電費，余男為之心動，便請男子動手腳將電表齒輪走速變緩慢，果然，每個月的電費，省掉約百分之75，亦即實際上100度用電，只需繳交25度電費，余男竊電半年多時間，台電稽查人員發現余男住處用電量明顯異常，長期大幅度減少，研判竊電的嫌疑性很大。

稽查人員去年9月間會同基隆市警局刑警大隊實地調查，並將電表送至電力研究實驗中心鑑定，確定余男竊電犯行，總計竊電近2萬9千度，台電短收電費約14萬3千多元，基隆地檢署檢察官自動檢舉，依電業法簽請分案偵辦，余男坦承犯行，深表懊悔，已與台電達成和解，清償全部漏繳電費，台電同意予以緩起訴，全案偵結，檢方予以1年緩起訴處分，但余男需支付8萬元給公益團體。（蔡進男／基隆報導）
