桃縣楊梅市彭姓學生外出遊玩時未將錢包帶出門，返家後找不到錢包，家人也協助尋找，但無所獲，彭生懷疑可能是失業的父親偷走的，便報警處理，警方前往現場後，勸告父子倆再仔細找找看，終於在彭生的房內找到錢包。

據警方表示，彭姓學生父母離異，個性較為叛逆易與人發生爭執，23日返家找不著錢包即哭鬧不停，情急下便懷疑是失業的父親缺錢偷走，彭父則是無奈，好心幫忙卻遭子誣賴偷竊，當下斥責其不孝，彭生不滿隨即打電話報警申請家暴並揚言提告竊盜。

楊梅分局富岡所長涂志偉到場後，看著父子倆吵得面紅耳赤趕緊出面緩頰，一方面勸導彭生應對長輩要有禮貌，另一方面鼓勵彭父趕緊找到工作，當兒女的榜樣，勸導倆人再回家仔細找找看，果不其然在彭生房內找到錢包內的新台幣600元。

彭父無奈地癱坐在椅子上，感嘆現今小朋友動不動就報警處理，浪費社會資源，感謝警方到家中開導彭生外，並允諾近日會回到職場工作及戒除飲酒的惡習。
