吐瓦魯風災肆虐　我捐款百萬賑災

我太平洋邦交國吐瓦魯國11日與12日遭逢五級熱帶氣旋「帕姆」（Tropical Cyclone Pam）肆虐，吐瓦魯國多數外島遭海水侵襲，洪災氾濫，危及社區與居民安全，吐瓦魯國政府已於13日宣布全國進入緊急狀態一週。中華民國政府於第一時即向吐國駐華大使館，並透過駐吐瓦魯國大使館向吐國政府表達關懷之意，並迅速伸出援手，捐款8萬澳元(約新台幣1百90萬餘元）給吐國政府協助賑濟風災。

外交部表示，吐瓦魯是我太平洋地區忠實友邦，兩國關係密切友好，我國發生「八八水災」時，吐國曾及時慷慨捐輸表達關懷；今吐國遭逢風災，中華民國即伸援手，充分顯示兩國重視情義，邦誼穩固。（陳培煌／台北報導）
