今天有台灣媒體報導駐日代表處官員未出席日本國會議員所組的「日華議員懇談會」（日華懇）懇親會，致有損台灣外交顏面一事，駐日代表處發聲明，嚴正說明並否認。

駐日代表處指出，3月26日下午4時許，日人團體及台灣僑學界人士共約120人到駐日代表處抗議，下午5時駐日代表沈斯淳原擬偕各級主管參加「日華懇」主辦的懇親會活動，但代表處出入口都有抗議民眾，為妥適處理相關事態，並避免車輛穿越引發聚眾情緒激昂甚至衍生其他問題，於4時許向日華懇事務局長橋本靖男說明詳情。

之後，沈斯淳也親自致電日華懇的會長平沼赳夫及幹事長表藤井孝男表示歉意，並獲得對方充分理解之後，才未出席懇親會活動。

駐日代表處聲明指出，絕無所謂日華懇大表不滿，不歡而散及使台灣外交顏面「毀於一旦」的情形。

代表處強調，一向極為重視與日華懇的關係，上月下旬，平沼及藤井等人也再度率團訪問台灣，將來駐日代表處將持續致力增進台日友好關係，深盼各界續予支持。(中央社)
