警方在今（24）日零時過後所展開的一波波強力驅離行動仍持續進行中，大約在凌晨1點40分，警方開始採取更為強勢的驅離手段，水箱車開始對仍聚集在行政院後門的抗議學生、群眾灑水，現場的尖叫聲、哭喊聲、怒吼聲四起，有抗議群眾開始對員警丟擲水瓶、石塊等物品，警方也以盾牌、警棍回擊，雙方爆發嚴重衝突，有多人掛彩受傷，而抗議群眾不敵警方的人力及裝備，也不斷地潰散敗退。

至於行政院正門，目前警、民則仍在僵持對峙中，而在民進黨主席蘇貞昌、蔡英文、游錫堃、謝長廷等人到場，並與學生坐在一起聲援抗議行動後，恐將讓警方下一步的驅離行動變得相當棘手。
