冬奧開幕在即　索契流浪狗遭撲殺

根據美國ABC News31日的報導指出，舉辦冬奧的索契默默聘用私人公司撲殺流浪狗，以端正市容。

去年索契市表示要撲殺流浪狗時，遭到動保團體反對，便公開聲稱會放棄這個計劃，但當地一私人清理公司「Basia Service」接受ABC訪問時，老闆索洛金(Alexei Sorokin)坦承受雇清除流浪狗，但不願說明是何時開始被雇用，也不清楚已經撲殺多少隻狗，但表示他們是在政府嘗試和動保團體合作，呼籲市民收養流浪狗，但未能獲得市民回響，才接手這份工作。
 
索洛金進而強調是為了大眾安全，以防被流浪狗攻擊，或是在比賽中有流浪狗突然闖進賽場，都會造成麻煩，因此需要做好「清理」工作，他還直接稱這些流浪狗是「生物垃圾」(biological trash)，並否認有虐狗的指控，表示他們都是採用毒藥和陷阱撲殺。（周佩萱／綜合外電報導）
