北京地鐵1號線信號系統升級今(2015)年年內將接近尾聲。屆時，地鐵1號線發車間隔有望從現在的2分零5秒縮短到2分鐘，創世界城市軌道最小等量級。

根據北京晨報報導，1號線運營載客已44年，其信號系統升級改造工作自2013年上半年已開始，由於所有測試都要在夜間收車後進行，所以每天有效工作時間只有兩三個小時。預計今年年內，地鐵1號線將全面升級為CBTC(移動閉塞)信號系統，自動化控制水平更高，列車發車間隔也能繼續壓縮，最小發車間隔有望從2分零5秒縮短到2分鐘。不過，受制於1號線的編組方式和折返路線， 2分鐘的最小發車間隔幾乎達到1號線的極限。

交通部門預算，此次系統升級可以保障1號線在未來20年的穩定安全運營。這是繼地鐵2號線後，世界上第二條既有線不停運改造後開通CBTC系統。

記者了解到，新系統預留了與月台門的接口，待今年1號線開始月台門安裝時，信號系統不需要再改造。經過與月台門的接口調試，即可以直接實現與月台門系統的連接使用。
