「小白兔」楊可凡自提名金鐘獎後戲約不斷，夯到劇組幾乎要搶人，不過因名字常被誤認為「楊可凡先生」，加上她個性有女俠性格，希望能帶點女孩子氣，順勢改名最後一個字"涵"，決定改名為「楊可涵」。

楊可涵說，「自己個性太陽剛想帶點女孩子氣，又怕朋友們會混淆，所以才改名了最後一個字"涵"，所以希望大家喜歡我的新名字。」

日前她演出改編真實故事《海海人生路》，以自然的演技令人熱淚盈框，這次首度在新戲《新世界》擔綱女主角重任，與豆花妹、潘柏希、李佳豫共同飆戲，她飾演報社的採訪編輯，意外捲入撲朔迷離的刑案，對於角色戲份吃重，目前在演出公視新戲的她說，「全力以赴外還是全力以赴。」
