（中央社倫敦23日綜合外電報導）英國衛生部今天表示，一名旅居獅子山的英國人檢驗結果呈伊波拉病毒陽性。英國官員說，他們正提供這名英國人領事協助。當局未披露此人的身分。

法新社報導，英國副首席醫官華森（John Watson）教授強調指出，伊波拉對英國居民構成的風險「依然非常低」。

華森說，「醫療專家現正評估獅子山境內此情勢，以確保能提供適當照護。」

他又說：「我們擁有健全、完備且歷經考驗的國家醫療保健服務（NHS）體系，獲得範圍廣泛專家支援，能因應不尋常傳染疾病。」

伊波拉病毒已在西非賴比瑞亞、幾內亞和獅子山蔓延擴散，病毒也入侵奈及利亞，自從今年3月以來總共造成1427人死亡。目前尚無治療法或疫苗可對付伊波拉病毒。(中央社)
