華盛頓巫師季後賽首輪擊敗芝加哥公牛，挺進東區準決賽，但球風剽悍的中鋒Marcin Gortat卻遭遇「死亡威脅」。

根據《華盛頓郵報》報導，巫師第5戰淘汰公牛後，Gortat收到匿名「通知」，匿名人士宣稱他的飛機上裝有炸彈，將會對Gortat與他的家人、國家不利。

「這很有趣，他們只是說著玩的，就是一些怪人。」來自波蘭的硬漢Gortat顯然一點也不在意這種威脅。

「對方幾乎擁有詳細的個人資料，但我覺得那不會怎樣，有些聽起來很嚴重，但其實還好。」Gortat說。

Gortat會有如此回應並不意外，他曾建議聯盟開放「PK」讓場上發生口角的球員「幹一架」宣洩情緒，並達到提升收視率的效果。
