美國防部長呼籲北約增加國防預算

美國國防部長海格2日警告，俄羅斯正試圖考驗北約，因此北約必須提高軍事支出以面對莫斯科的挑戰。他表示，針對俄羅斯介入烏克蘭，北約迄今的回應是「決心」；但「在長期間，我們可以預期俄國會測試我們的目標、耐力與決心」。

他警告，「後代人將注意到我們在面對挑戰的當頭，是否曾展現出我們對盟邦的投資意願。我們不得錯過此一機會，或在面對挑戰時有所退縮，否則我們將遭到歷史嚴厲的批判。」

為了打破「預算僵局」，他呼籲北約盟國財政部長及高級預算官員參與北約國防部長會議
