國健署說龍潭甲狀腺癌發生率未異常

環保團體踢爆，桃園龍潭核研所曾發生6次氫爆，有網友質疑，當地幾乎每隔幾年就出現一波罹患甲狀腺癌高峰，認為氫爆造成輻射污染。衛福部國健署表示，1982年迄今，當地雖有7個年度罹癌人數飆高，但長期趨勢看來，發生率未有異常。

甲狀腺癌可能受輻射暴露等影響，有網友引用衛生局統計，質疑龍潭人很可能成為核災受害者，2009年龍潭有17例甲狀腺癌，就占當地所有癌症的4%，遠高於桃園其他鄉鎮市平均的2.7%。

國健署社區健康組組長陳延芳說，如果光看數字，1982年迄今，龍潭的確有7個年度罹癌人數突然飆高，但應屬偶發因素，不能據此斷定就是輻射污染。

她說，龍潭人口少，只要增加一兩例，數字就可能呈倍數成長失真，分析國健署資料，龍潭的甲狀腺癌長期趨勢，並未高於全國或桃園縣的發生率，民眾不必太過恐慌。
