馬來西亞航空MH370班機，至今失聯已經超過5天，各國均出動搜救尋找飛機殘骸和乘客下落，其中陸媒報導指出，在麻六甲海域疑似發現穿有救生衣的乘客遺體，但消息尚未證實。現在更傳出該架班機機長扎哈列(Zaharie Ahmed Shah)，疑似和恐怖組織的「基地」分子是同所飛行學校的同窗。

馬來西亞航空MH370班機自3月8日清晨失聯，至今仍下落不明。外電報導，失聯的馬航班機曾偏離預定航道，轉向麻六甲海峽飛行一個多小時。對此，馬國官方加以否認。

只是各國出動搜救，至今仍無重大進展，有專家開始質疑，馬國和越南公布的資料，恐還有所隱瞞，甚至連打撈的地點恐怕也都有問題。美國有線電視新聞網(CNN)報導，大陸國家國防科技公業局在12日宣布，「高分一號在馬航失聯客機疑似失事海域發現漂浮物」。

另外還有菲律賓媒體《菲律賓每日詢問報》，12日引述菲國民航署消息指稱，機長扎哈列曾在1980至81年間，在菲國馬尼拉接受航空學校受訓，但他們並未找到相關資料；期間也有一名巴基斯坦的恐怖分子穆拉德，也在該校就讀，但2人是否為同窗還無法證實，而穆拉德是賓拉登招募的第一批恐怖分子。
