【王鈞生／台中報導】房屋耐震技術自921地震後更受國人重視，台中IKEA旁豪宅「名人硯」為中台灣首座RC住宅耐震標章大樓，每坪開價58~72萬元。頒發單位內政部建築研究所所長何明錦指出，要取得標章須經過嚴格程序，每興建到固定樓層須持續審查，確保建物的施工品質與耐震程度。

沅林建設總經理林炫佑表示，為取得標章，施工全程須由專業技師現場監造，鋼筋數量、混擬土強度都超過同區段建物，因此平均營造成本增加逾2成，施工期達3年。他也指出，最大的難度在於必須突破傳統工地陋習，才能落實細節。
