針對外界質疑各縣市政府投入大量經費在跨年煙火，財政部長張盛和26日在立法院財委會也被立委問到，這樣燒錢會不會心疼？張盛和回應，要看個案，如果地方政府財政困難是沒有必要舉行，但若可像台北101一樣，找廠商贊助，地方政府就不用花錢。

跨年活動即將到來，不少縣市有煙火秀，如同是「燒錢大賽」，社會開始出現省思的聲音，擔心施放跨年煙火，會燒到教育經費。26日在立法院財委會也引發立委關注，國民黨立委盧秀燕就問掌管全國財政的張盛和今年會不會去看台北跨年煙火？張盛和說，「不會，我一向不會去，在家我生活作息正常」，煙火是晚上12點放，「已影響我的生活作息」。

盧秀燕再追問，地方政府放煙火燒錢，你會不會心疼？張盛和則表示，這要看個案，據他了解，台北101跨年煙火當晚就有4億營業額，政府沒有出一毛錢，煙火全部是廠商贊助。

張盛和強調，各地方政府要衡量自己的財力，如果財政困難是沒有必要放煙火，但若可以找廠商贊助，而且有商機在，政府就不用花到錢。
