「甜瓜」Carmelo Anthony即將接受左膝手術，預計要缺席4至6個月，也就是說本季宣告結束。

紐約尼克總裁「禪師」Phil Jackson表示，甜瓜確切復健日程還沒定案，不過相信今年夏天就能歸隊，也能趕上季前訓練營。

總教練Derek Fisher說：「很明顯因為身體關係，讓他沒能發揮水準，所以這個步驟(手術)是他必須要的。」

上個月禪師已經跟Anthony討論過要動手術，而甜瓜也在明星賽前透露，他隨後「很可能」會開刀提前關機。

「在倫敦(海外賽)時有跟他(Anthony)面談，討論接受手術的時機點。大家都知道復健需要時間，我們想要讓他完整進行，為下個球季做好準備。」Jackson說。

Anthony本季出賽40場，平均上場35.7分鐘，場均24.2分6.6籃板3.1助攻1抄截。
