每天只吃市販便當或麵包解決三餐的孩子，家計吃緊而不吃飯的孩子。支撐心靈與身體成長的「飲食」基礎正動搖著。想用現做的溫暖料理援助各種生活困難的孩子們，「兒童食堂」的試辦計畫正擴散至日本各地。
