【MLB】戰績墊底　雙城開除總教練賈登海爾

在國聯中區墊底的雙城隊今天宣布，開除總教練賈登海爾(Ron Gardenhire)，原因無它，球隊戰績太差，需要人負責，雖然他已經在雙城執教13年，但已連續4年球隊單季超過90敗，其中還有3年墊底，讓球團決定提前與他解除賓主關係。
 
賈登海爾從2002年起開始接掌雙城兵符，當年就率隊拿下分區冠軍，之後9年，雙城有6年都是美聯中區王者，他還在2010年拿下美聯最佳總教練頭銜，只不過2011年球季開始球隊就開始連2年墊底，不過球團還是相信他的功力，在去年9月球隊僅拿下第4名後與他簽下2年約，只是戰績仍未起色，因而決定與他提前解約。
 
賈登海爾說：「因為我們沒有贏球，所以我要離開了，這就是棒球，你必須在場上贏得比賽，而這4年對我們來說，真的非常艱難。」(賴德剛／綜合報導)
