佔中經濟損失估算　新華社金額為美林10倍

據美銀美林（Bank of America Merrill Lynch）預估，佔中3日造成損失約5億美元（39億港元，152億元台幣），對GDP（Gross Domestic Product，國內生產毛額）衝擊微不足道，然而新華社估計的經損金額卻是美銀美林的10倍。
 
美銀美林指出，佔中對香港GDP實際影響不易估計，但按照去年香港金融和保險業對GDP貢獻約15%來估算，佔中若癱瘓中環3個工作天，經濟損失約5億美元，相當於去年香港GDP的0.18%，影響輕微。
 
然而據新華社報導，香港各大商會評估認為，佔中可能造成經濟損失約400億港元（1564億元台幣），以經損恫嚇意味濃厚。

香港金融管理局（金管局）今持續下修受佔中影響銀行據點數，傍晚發布聲明表示，截至下午4時，僅有19家銀行33個銀行據點暫時關閉，較上午公布的37個、昨晚公布的44個進一步減少。（陳智偉／綜合外電報導）
