死亡破2400　世衛：西非無力應付伊波拉

西非國家爆發的伊波拉病毒疫情，死亡人數持續上升。世界衞生組織(WHO)今天(12日)公佈，目前有4784人染病、超過2400人喪生。令人憂慮的是，世衞自己都說這個數字「很可能被低估」，目前的疫情「已經超出西非國家的應付能力」。

世衞總幹事陳馮富珍表示，伊波拉病例快速上升，已經超過當局可以處理的能力，她呼籲國際社會派出醫療人員、以及提供醫藥物資到當地，協助對抗疫情。

古巴宣佈派出165名醫護人員到重災區之一的獅子山共和國，除了醫生、護士，還會派出流行病專家、感染控制專家以及加護病房重症專家。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
