鼻出血的情形在兒童或青壯年間頗為常見，但阿拉伯一位年輕男子長期流鼻血的原因相當不尋常：他的鼻腔內長出一顆「牙齒」。

據英國《每日郵報》（Daily Mail）報導，沙烏地阿拉伯一名22歲年輕男子經常流鼻血，每月都會發生1次至2次，且這樣的情形長達3年之久。男子愈覺愈不對勁，就醫後，醫生竟在他鼻腔內發現一個約1公分的象牙白骨塊，經牙科醫生判定後，確認這是一顆額外生長的「牙齒」。

專家表示長出額外的牙齒並不稀奇，但「長在鼻腔內」的病例倒是相當罕見。據悉，男子鼻腔內的牙齒拔除後，目前已結束經常鼻出血的情形。
