電費1萬變2千　男子竊電遭警查獲

【戴之聖／基隆報導】近來因電費調漲，有民眾為節省電費對電錶動手腳竊電，基隆市刑大偵一隊日前查獲1名58歲金姓男子為省下每個月1萬875元的電費，同意竊電集團以5千元的代價，將電錶內的齒輪由原本5轉變更到10轉，讓用電齒輪轉速變慢達到竊電的目的，電費變成每個月只要2851元，造成台電嚴重損失。

金男表示，因為家裡經營天婦羅食品加工，平日電費驚人實在吃不消，才會改裝電錶；從去年7月至今，初估金男讓台電損失約7萬8914元；警方訊後依竊盜罪將金男移送基隆地檢署。
