百萬人口勝新竹　這縣好野人多怎沒百貨公司

彰化縣市人口有129萬多人，勝過新竹縣市、嘉義縣市，相較該2縣有大型百貨公司，彰化有錢人也不少，為何連個大型商場也沒有？

今日出版的《聯合報》報導，彰化市喬友大樓、員林鎮黃金帝國大樓均位在火車站附近，當初落成啟用時，被形容是彰化縣的雙子星，經營期間卻因糾紛不斷，火災、命案等，如今幾乎如同「廢墟」。

彰化縣商業總會前理事長、從事西服業的許川林說，一是台中市磁吸效應太強，北彰化到台中市不到半小時就能到；二是彰化人很有錢，花錢也不手軟，偏好在台中市消費，「有潛意識的虛榮心」。（即時新聞中心／綜合報導）
