2016年里約奧運女足亞洲區資格賽首輪，晚間於台北田徑場點燃戰火，世界排名第40的台灣女足首戰世界第86寮國，上半場掌握絕大多數進攻，球幾乎都壓在寮國一邊，台灣女足在第11分鐘、41分鐘靠著余秀菁、賴麗琴的頭槌和大腳遠射進球下，上半場以2比0領先寮國。(詹健全／台北報導)
