今年轉戰羅德的左投陳冠宇，在28日的官辦熱身賽出戰中日龍，後援2局，沒有被敲任何安打，終場羅德以9比0大勝中日。

陳冠宇第8局登板，面對首名打者毫不客氣的發出一張K，並演出三上三下，第9局續投雖投出1次壞球保送，隨即穩住陣腳，關門成功，後援2局僅用29球，表現獲教練團肯定。

此役羅德在首局就展開猛攻，9名人次輪番上陣，敲出7支安打，其中大松尚逸敲出滿貫砲，清田育宏隨後追加2分砲，羅德在首局豪取7分，奠定了勝基。

值得一提的是，挨了羅德2轟的苦主是去年效力統一獅的洋投李韋斯，這一戰他僅投1.1局，吞下敗投。
