李光耀住院馬總統：盼早日康復

新加坡政府今發表聲明，現年九十一歲的前總理李光耀，現已住進醫院加護病房，並裝上「機械式呼吸輔助器」，但情況穩定。馬英九總統晚間表示，第一時間得知消息非常意外，已請駐外館處表達關切之意，期盼他早日康復。

馬總統表示，中華民國與新加坡關係一向友好，新加坡也是我國重要安全、經貿及文化夥伴，兩國民間交流非常密切。

馬總統說，李光耀是新加坡重要的領導和資產，30多年前與李光耀認識，過去幾次赴新加坡訪問，兩人多次有深度對話，他受益良多。第一時間得知住院消息，感到非常意外，他已請駐外館處表達關切之意，也衷心期盼李早日康復。
