中信兄弟開季要用2洋砲，洋投僅左投寇迪一人，因此本土投手將扛更重的責任，他們必須挑起大樑，兄弟才會有更大的勝算。

以中華職棒每周5場比賽來看，兄弟只用寇迪一名洋投，因此就必須要有4名本土投手要扛每周一場先發的重任，毫無疑問，去年勝投王鄭凱文以及林煜清，將是兩大主力，至於另兩個名額要由誰來扛，兄弟教練團正利用春訓觀察中。

謝榮豪去年待牛棚，擔任中繼投手，整季出賽52場，投55.2局，戰績3勝4敗5救援19中繼、防禦率3.07，今年謝榮豪將轉任先發，他的表現值得觀察。

另外就是王則鈞及江忠城，王則鈞去年先發、中繼兩頭跑，出賽21場，11場先發，戰績2勝5敗、防禦率4.64，表現平平；江忠城則是在8月底才加盟兄弟，表現差強人意。

去年還曾先發的包括王梓安、陳鴻文、鄭錡鴻、增菘瑋等人，陳鴻文已轉入牛棚，將擔任「守護神」。因此中信兄弟將如何調整出以本土投手為主體的先發投手群，是新球季的焦點。
