摺紙啟發 自動組裝機器人亮相

（法新社華盛頓7日電） 美國專家受日本摺紙術啟發，發明以紙板製成的扁平機器人。

研發這款機器人原型的美國哈佛大學和麻省理工學院（MIT）研究人員今天說，這款機器人有朝一日將能用於太空探索、進入崩塌地點搜救，或是加速生產線製造流程。

原本扁平的「機器人」就和一張紙沒兩樣，然後彷彿有生命似的站起身，然後摺成具備多個可移動部位的機器人，隨後爬走。

哈佛大學工程與應用科學（Engineering andApplied Sciences）的伍德（Rob Wood）說：「我們多年來致力打造可以自動組裝並確實發揮功能的機器人。」

這款機器人可以每秒5公分速度移動，科學家滿懷希望，認為這款低成本的機器人最終將非常有幫助。

伍德說，未來將可以3D印表機製作這款機器人，以100美元價格銷售，並設定讓這些機器人從事清掃走廊和偵測瓦斯外洩等工作。（譯者：中央社張詠晴）
