（中央社耶路撒冷17日綜合外電報導）以色列總理尼坦雅胡已下令軍方，今晚在加薩地區展開地面軍事行動。以軍對加薩發動攻勢已進入第10天，目的是遏止巴勒斯坦人的火箭攻擊，先前的攻勢主要是空襲和砲擊。

尼坦雅胡（Benjamin Netanyahu）的辦公室發布聲明說：「總理和國防部長已指示以色列國防軍（IDF），今晚展開地面軍事行動，以攻擊由加薩通到以色列的恐怖攻擊隧道。」

以軍也發布聲明說：「（巴勒斯坦激進團體）哈瑪斯（Hamas）由海陸空發動攻擊已10天，對方一再拒絕緩和情勢的提議，因此以色列國防軍已在加薩走廊展開地面軍事行動。」

路透社的目擊者和加薩居民表示，加薩邊界地區傳出重砲與海軍艦艇砲擊聲。(中央社)
