年僅22歲、身高僅169公分的Xherdan Shaqiri，26日成了不折不扣的「瑞士英雄」，小組賽最終役，他個人獨進3球完成「帽子戲法」，瑞士3：0宏都拉斯，闖進十六強。

賽前，瑞士、厄瓜多積分均為3分，淨勝球瑞士還少2個，想搶下晉級資格不僅得贏球，還得期望法國擊敗厄瓜多或踢和。

瑞士的煩惱很快就煙消雲散，效力德甲名門拜仁慕尼黑的Shaqiri在開賽第6分鐘就以一記刁鑽的遠射破門成功，開啟今天的個人秀。

第31分鐘，瑞士斷球成功後快速推進，Shaqiri在禁區將球送進球門，2：0，瑞士勝券在握，但還不夠。
