太空人宣布將新秀辛格頓(Jon Singleton)拉上大聯盟，並在明天的比賽中先發守一壘，在此之前，已經跟他簽下5年的延長合約，雖然合約內容並沒有公布，但據了解至少破千萬元，若再加上3年的選擇權，總額甚至可達3000萬美元，而辛格頓至今1場大聯盟比賽都還沒打完。

22歲的辛格頓今年在3A已出賽54場，打擊率／上壘率／長打率是0.267／0.397／0.544，全壘打14，打點43，成績相當驚人，他是在2011年透過明星外野手潘斯(Hunter Pence)的交易從費城人來到太空人，但問題是去年曾因禁藥而被禁賽，並有大麻癮頭。(謝岱穎／綜合報導)
