王維中哥哥王躍霖，目前效力芝加哥小熊隊小聯盟，昨天被大聯盟球隊徵召參加春訓熱身賽，隨隊到教士客場，不過他最後並未登板投球。

得知弟弟上大聯盟，王躍霖覺得很開心，他說：「他(王維中)是台灣第11個上大聯盟的球員，算是為國爭光吧，我很開心，希望他上去以後就不要再下來了。」(記者楊逸民／美國亞利桑那州皮歐瑞亞報導)
