華航外籍機師離職　理由：為了生命安全

【劉志原╱台北報導】華航2008年間控告20名外籍機師未依約服務期滿，就以腎病、內出血、父親癌症等各種理由離職，其中還有外籍機師指台籍機師技術差，他為生命安全才離職，還有人無故曠職，另有1名機師值勤時酒測值超標遭開除，台北地院判這21名外籍機師，應賠償華航違約金共1066萬餘元。

華航指出，2004年起與Taylor等21名外籍機師簽約，聘他們擔任波音B747-400及空中巴士A340-300等機型機師，合約期間1至3年不等，並明訂違約者應賠償訓練費及1個月的月薪當違約金，但其中有20名外籍機師卻無故離職，1名值班時酒測值遭開除。

台北地院認為華航指控屬實，這21名機師均已違約，每人應賠償華航55萬至120萬元不等，合計1066萬餘元；全案仍可上訴。
