對於洋基隊長Derek Jeter十分有信心，洋基球團2日宣布簽回隊上明星游擊手，為下個球季提前作準備。

Jeter和洋基球團達成一紙1200萬的合約，但是最讓人擔心的還是他的傷勢與年紀。

隨著95梯「老派」Andy Pettitte與「老MO」Mariano Rivera都已退休，也讓人臆測隊長是否也要跟大家說再見。

明年6月即將邁入「不惑」之年，Jeter本季才打了17場，主要就是因為他的腳踝傷勢不輕，努力復健，還是無法幫球隊打進季後賽。

此外，這應該是Jeter這19年來令人最沮喪的一季，打擊率1成90，擊出1發全壘打，7分打點。

他表示：「這整季對我的身體來說簡直是惡夢，我真的相信，只要我好好休息持續強化身體，並讓我的體能回來，我就可以跟過去一樣。」
