美前總統尼克森 辭職信曝光

三十九年前的今天，當時的美國總統尼克森，因為水門事件的重重壓力，被迫辭職，成為美國歷史上，第一個在任期之內辭職的總統。美國哥倫比亞廣播公司（CBS）新聞網站，公佈了尼克森當初寫給國務卿「季辛吉」的辭職信。

所謂「水門事件」，是指一九七二年六月十七號，在在華府「水門大廈」的美國民主黨全國委員會總部，所查獲的竊聽事件。這起事件之後一路往上追，火終於燒到了共和黨籍總統尼克森身上。當時，美國的輿論，幾乎一面倒地要尼克森「知所進退」，國會也威脅要彈劾他。尼克森在腹背受敵，孤立無援的情況下，終於在一九七四年八月九號，決定辭去美國總統一職，他也成為美國歷史上，第一個在任內辭職的總統。一個月之後，尼克森所牽涉到的所有罪名，全部被赦免。
