資深媒體人徐嶔煌今在臉書爆料，他比較長庚醫院以及慈濟醫院2011年的財報，覺得「很有趣」，看完後「差點暈倒」，指長庚病床數是慈濟的2到3倍，但長庚一年文具支出才382萬元，慈濟卻高達7198萬元；管理費用，長庚是14.3億元，慈濟醫院則高達20.3億元；管理費中的水電瓦斯費用，長庚是2498萬，慈濟醫院竟高達2.1億。兩院的落差大到令人不解。

針對徐嶔煌的質疑，新店慈濟指各醫院財報格式不同，無法這樣比較，但因事關慈濟所有醫院，由花蓮慈濟回應；花蓮慈濟則指慈濟醫療志業發展處將對此回應，稍晚會發聲明稿說明。（邱俊吉／台北報導）
