英超28輪賽事，利物浦在主場2：0輕鬆贏下倒數第2的柏恩利，義大利前鋒「超級馬力歐」Mario Balotelli坐在板凳上看著隊友們贏球，賽後在自己Instagram上的貼文引人遐想：「有人不喜歡我。」

「我想有人不喜歡我，跟那些人說的不同，我是個團隊型球員，而我以我的球隊、粉絲為榮，讓我們繼續戰鬥！bravi ragazzi！YNWA！」（註1）

Balotelli從義甲AC米蘭轉到英超利物浦的第一季表現令人失望，英超出賽13場僅1進球，與義甲時期皆有雙位數進球天差地遠，並且被指出打法融入不了利物浦，為紅魔最失敗投資。

好在Balotelli身體素質優異且年僅24歲，假以時日能抓住機會證明自己1600萬英鎊的轉會費、週薪12.5萬英鎊（為期三年）的身價並非高估也說不定。
