涉美爆炸案賓拉登助手定罪

（路透紐約26日電）沙烏地男子法瓦茲因涉及1998年美國駐肯亞與坦尚尼亞大使館爆炸案，今天遭紐約聯邦法院判決有罪，檢察官形容他是蓋達恐怖組織（al Qaeda）首腦賓拉登最信任的助手之一。

陪審團考慮到第3天，判定52歲的法瓦茲（Khalid al-Fawwaz）被控的所有4項共謀罪名都成立，他最重可能遭判處無期徒刑。

聯邦檢察官巴拉拉（Preet Bharara）表示，當年的攻擊事件造成多達224人喪生和超過4000人受傷，法瓦茲是涉案被告中經審判定罪或自行認罪的第10人。

法瓦茲並未被控策劃對大使館的攻擊行動，檢方表示，他是賓拉登（Osama binLaden）最信任的助手之一，旅居倫敦期間發揮作用，對新聞媒體宣揚賓拉登的戰爭宣言，以及提供裝備給非洲的蓋達成員。中央社（翻譯）
