孟加拉渡輪傾覆尋獲五遺體

（路透達卡13日電）孟加拉警方表示，1艘搭載200人的超載渡輪今天在首都達卡以南300公里的裴拉河（Paira）翻覆，救難人員打撈起5具遺體，並搜尋生還者。

地勢低平，加上擁有許多內陸水道及安全標準不甚嚴謹，孟加拉渡輪發生意外的紀錄令人震驚，傷亡人數有時甚至高達數百人。

裴拉河附近的巴谷納（Barguna）警察局官員艾克塔（Babul Akhter）告訴記者：「大多數乘客都能自行游上岸」。

船上乘客多半都是從大約30公里遠的沿海城鎮庫卡塔（Kuakata），前往巴谷納一場宗教集會。

他說：「由於船隻超載，船身出現裂縫，最終導致船隻傾覆。」中央社（翻譯）
