北京《新京報》已經拍到房祖名，於13日凌晨0：08分，在一輛商務車以及二輛警車的「保護」下，離開北京東城區看守所，而該報記者也確定房祖名就在該車中。

此前媒體一直盛傳，房祖名將於2月14日凌晨獲釋，沒想到並非這天，原來，刑期的計算是遵循「壓頭去尾」的規則，既然房祖名是從2014年的8月14日開始被羈押，那就是監禁到2015年的2月13日，才是整整6個月，而判決書上也明確顯示，是關到2月13日當天刑滿獲釋。

而且只要是在釋放日，不管任何時間都能離開，看守所可能因為房祖名是公眾人物，想低調離開看守所，所以將他出獄的時間，訂為媒體神不知鬼不覺的13日凌晨。但據悉，當時已有幾家媒體在看守所外等候。

至於是誰來接房祖名離開？根據知情人士透露，不管是誰的家屬，來接的人都只能在門外等待，不能隨便出入看守所，但接他出獄的該輛商務車，似乎是他經紀公司的車。

可以確定的是，房祖名出獄後即將在北京召開懺悔記者會，而且母親林鳳嬌將陪同他出席，但不會上台，父親成龍則因為宣傳新片《天將雄師》，不會出席記者會。
