沙國國王辭世中華民國哀悼

外交部今天說，沙烏地阿拉伯王國阿布都拉因病逝世，享壽91歲，中華民國政府對此噩耗深感哀悼。

外交部表示，阿布都拉國王的辭世，使沙國失去一位英明領袖。阿布都拉國王治理沙國長達10年，在位期間勤政愛民，除全力發展國內經濟建設，更致力提升婦女社會地位，同時積極參與穩定區域和平安全事務，深受沙國及阿拉伯世界人民愛戴。

外交部說，阿布都拉國王在位期間，中華民國與沙國雙邊關係進展良好。對於阿布都拉國王逝世，中華民國政府深感哀傷與悼念。

外交部指出，阿布都拉國王去世後，王儲薩爾曼依法繼承大統。薩爾曼國王素來友我，也非常重視與中華民國發展各項合作關係，相信未來經由雙方共同努力，台沙雙邊關係將在既有基礎上更加增進。
