凌晨1點許，台中市精武路與水源街口一間冷氣行發生火警，由於該建築物為鐵皮搭蓋火勢延燒迅速，三層樓建物很快陷入火海，消防局共派出十多輛消防車灌救，火勢於1小時內撲滅。

陳姓屋主表示，當時屋內只有他跟太太倆，睡夢中聽到爆炸聲就趕緊往屋外跑，曾試圖要滅火但火勢實在太大。起火戶1樓是販售冷氣的店面，屋主平時都住在樓上，不知道為何會起火，所幸並沒有人員傷亡，起火原因由警消調查中。(張惠凱／台中報導)
