（法新社馬尼拉16日電）菲律賓天主教會今天表示，教宗方濟各要求在下月訪問菲律賓時搭乘敞篷車輛，這使他能更接近民眾，但也更易受威脅。

菲律賓政府上月宣布將為教宗打造客製化專用車，和梵蒂岡安全人員共同合作，避免教宗於明年1月訪問菲律賓時遭受威脅。

不過菲律賓教會幹部今天透露，這將是敞篷且非防彈的車輛，以配合教宗的要求。

負責準備教宗行程的教會委員會成員康謝普遜神父（David Concepcion）說：「這代表我們的聖父來訪期間將處於高風險中。」
