〔自由時報記者陳筱琳／綜合報導〕戰績11勝13負暫居西部倒數第5的國王，總教練馬龍前日遭解雇，暫由助理教練柯賓暫代總教練一職；傳前金塊教頭卡爾、前勇士教頭傑克森，及前公牛、快艇教頭戴爾內格羅有機會掌國王兵符。

卡爾目前擔任ESPN球評，面對新的工作機會，他說：「很榮幸被點名，若國王對我有興趣，我同樣有意願到沙加緬度。」

馬龍是NBA本季首位因戰績不佳而丟了工作的總教練，帶領國王一季多、106場比賽，留下39勝67負、勝率36.8％成績。
